I purchased the orange-blue Hello Kitty cruiser, and everyday I’m thankful for the lack of gears. I watch cyclist ride by me on the bicycle paths. Except they’re working 1/10th as hard as I am on mildly uneven terrain, you couldn’t believe the transformation in my guts, hams, and thighs, even calves, in only 6 short weeks. I did have some early back pain, and then set up the seat tilted forward, I require it completely level and I finally adjusted it. This bicycle doesn’t blow over with the wind; it is made of steel, and is very hard to steal. I work at a University where plenty of bicycles get stolen off the bike racks for the reason that none of the components came off. I love this bicycle; it was around $400, but worth every penny. Not joking, and the whimsical Hello Kitty logo, remember I picked the orange & blue color, that makes people smile and that keeps me happy. It is made with excellent quality and a great means to get into shape. It is worth every penny. I commute to work and about to return my $600 a year parking permit. I’m so happy with this bike. – E. I purchased this bike for my wife’s birthday. She loves it. It looks great, but was not easy to assemble. Trying to put the brakes together was a pain. They provide a sheet metal with notches cut into it to use for the bolts. Don’t use it. You want to use your own sockets. This bicycle is ridden about three times per month so after about nine months I can not report any problems with it. The tire’s tread is shaped like a Hello Kitty face, very high-quality attention to detail there. Other than the high price costing about three times more than a WalMart make bicycle, this provides an excellent gift for the wife. – Nightside
This bicycle is precisely what I wanted. I had to assemble it but did not have any problems doing it. I did have a concern with the seat not staying tight. However, you can go to Nirve bicycle website that have a video instruction to show you how to do the assembly. I’m very happy riding this bike and everyone will die of jealousy. – C. Hetherington
